Last night's private party was unforgettable thanks to Terry, the manager who went above and beyond by closing down the whole joint, booking an incredible band, and serving up a buffet of classic bar food alongside a killer open bar. The atmosphere hit every dive bar clichí© in the best way possible-crooked floors, grumpy bartenders, and that unmistakable stale beer scent-making it feel like stepping into a well-loved secret. Between the friendly staff, delicious clams casino, and live music that rocked the house, I can't wait to do this again.

The Black Duck was the perfect venue for our private party, with an amazing band, top shelf open bar, and delicious buffet at a great price. The staff was attentive and professional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the event truly memorable. Despite the dive bar ambiance, the experience was fantastic, and I would not hesitate to book another event at the Black Duck.

They have a real problem with some of the bartenders, and with at least one of the managers. VERY NASTY, when asked to remove a false charge they "added on" to our check. They told us we "are a disgrace to their company", for asking that the false charge be removed, and threatened to call the police. I have been going there for around 12 years now, and have never had such a nasty, mean, dishonest experience there. They have a nasty, hothead bartender with some kind of chip on his shoulder - who is creative at the cash register, and has a serious hostility problem, and the manager backs him up. Sad to see the Black Duck lapsing into this kind of obnoxious sleaze. A really disgusting experience. Disgusting.
