The food is awesome and probably the best sushi in northeastern CT. However the service has been horrible lately and on a major downswing. We ordered a few lunch plates and a beer to go with it just yesterday. The waitress didn't come back with the beers and after about 109 minutes (in an empty restaurant) we flagged her down and she said she would check on them again. Another 5 minutes went by. I walked up to the bartender , who was leaning on the bar talking with the only 2 people at the bar who seemed like friends, and asked if there was a reason that the 2 beers our waitress had asked for twice still weren't brought to us. She said "oh yeah" and then turned around and pulled them out of the cooler. We asked to speak with the owner, James, and of course he wasn't available. Our waitress went to speak with the manager on duty and they approved discounting our meals when they threw away what we asked to be packaged for take-home. I have worked in a restaurant and when a customer asked to speak with the owner/manager and they aren't there, but the on-duty manager is there and still doesn't come over that is horrible. The only stars are for a decent meal. It sucks because we love the food by the snotty owner/managers and lazy staff make it a tough call. You can roll the dice or find a decent restaurant with nice, hard working staff that do their job.
