The signs said the Restaurant opens at 4pm I arrived at 4:30 no one was in the reception area I waited a full 10 minutes and not one arrived to greet me.. I left.. I realize it was early but this is unacceptable. How man others have met this same reception?

The Country Tavern has had a complete udate in 2009. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, with leather sofa seating in the Pub. Great new menu and service. They offer 1/2 price drinks in the Pub and special pricing on Entrees every night. An excellent value, makes dining out fun during these tough economic times!

I don't know what happened to this restaurant. My friend and I decided to go there and check out the menu. The bruschetta appetizer was Market Basket italian bread, a meager amount of plain, tasteless chopped tomatoes, covered with melted pizza cheese. To make it worse, the toasted bread was plated on a bed of lettuce, making the bottom of the bread soggy. Absolutely awful. No wonder we were the only people in the bar. About 10 years ago, this restaurant was fantastic...excellent quality food, good service and a nice pleasant atmosphere. It is badly in need of updating it's 80's styled dining room and they need a new head chef, PRONTO.
Such potential, such a disappointment.

Nice olde-worlde upmarket restaurant that also does buffet on weekend. A little bit old-fashioned for an older crowd. Weekend buffet is one if the few in Nashua to offer a carvery.
