Went there last week for the first time and it was amazing. Good service. Good atmosphere and good food. I’ll definitely be back

If I could give negative stars I would. Went at 730pm Sunday, Father's Day. Parking lot was nearly EMPTY. The hostess was ready to seat our party of 8, the manager walked over, looked at us, and refused to seat us for a solid 30+ minutes. The place was empty. It was extreme discrimination. I was appalled. I have never been treated so poorly. The hostess looked apologetic but we walked out and went to Georgios. Do not give this place your money! I can't believe they are still in business treating a family like this. I will never support any of their locations again. I will share far and wide this experience as well in hopes they are eventually boycotted. Shame on you!!!

I couldn't say enough good things! A friend and I ordered some take out and there was a minor issue. She called and spoke with Scott. He offered us two new meals at no charge. She had ordered escargot and dinner without viewing the menu. When we looked at a menu to order, we saw that all the meals were pretty pricey and these meals cost more than what we had ordered. She called Scott back, told him about the price difference, asked if he was sure, but he still wanted us to place our order.
She ordered the Portsmouth Pie and I ordered the Uncommon Steak Oscar. She loved her meal as much as I loved mine. This was also the first the first time my steak came the way I have ordered it (and I have ordered from Texas Roadhouse). The sweet potatoes were absolutely amazing and the other sides were just as good. They also gave use some bread, something that tasted like a muffin, and some of their white chocolate for two :)
I had never ate there before. I plan on eating there again, and again. I forgot to mention how AMAZING the escargot was too! Please believe I am not just saying these nice things because he gave us the two meals at no charge. The food was great, the service was great, and they went above and beyond.

Worst service ever! the front desk is rude and, quite frankly, dumb. Terrible, long waits and then they put out a hunk of cheese that was sitting there for who knows how long that you are supposed to eat from. (yuck)The food is so so; borderline institutional. I really don't understand the popularity of this place. Not a good buy and a pretty poor dining experience. All in all, won't go back.

I'm floored by all the negative comments about the C-Man! I love this family of restaurants and I've never had a bad experience. My aunt had her wedding reception here and while the chicken was less than perfect, everything else was great. All of the cousins were under 21 at the time so the bartender kindly fixed us pitchers of virgin cocktails to enjoy throughout dinner. She, as well as the rest of the staff were wonderfully attentive and we had a lovely time!
The last time I was there, my mom, grandmother and myself were there before njoying a production at the Capital Center for the Arts. We all started with salads and their delicious bread. I love their uncommon salad. It is my favorite anywhere and I order it everytime I go! I had the vegetable lasagna, perfectly cozy for the chilly December evening. My mother had the hanger steak, oscar style, and my grandmother had their salmon. We were all impressed. My mom claims that is the best hanger steak she's ever enjoyed. It came heaped with seafood and, although I have never had the dish before, tasted pretty fantastic to me. The dinner was a surprise for my family, as was the show to follow. The waitress kindly aided in my surprise by presenting their tickets on plates with the complementary white chocolate dessert. She was so sweet and so thorough. Needless to say, she got a great tip!

All in all, I love the C-Man & I find it pretty reasonable. If it's a little out of your price range, they sell gift cards for %off during the Christmas season, so you can enjoy their food for less! Try it again if you didn't love it the first time, it's great!!

I went there with some friends for dinner. Needless to say, I will never go back again.
The food was horrible. The salads we ordered were far from fresh. We ordered a few appetizers to share: The stuffed mushrooms were not only cold, but incredibly bland. There was no flavor to them whatsoever. The butternut squash ravioli with maple saucetasted like they melted maple cream candies down and threw it on top of frozen ravioli. They were by far the worst we've ever had. It's pretty sad that with all the appetizer options, the pigs in a blanket were the only ones we liked. For entrees- things did not get better. My girlfriend ordered a haddock dish with crab & broccoli on it. The sauce they served on it tasted like they put an egg yolk in a blender, heated it up slightly & oozed it over the top of the fish. She said it was the worst thing she ever tried. I had to send my steakhouse salad back twice, as I didnt want blue cheese on it- and the first time they brought it back it was as if they "picked" it off and reserved it. And the waitress/bartender was the worst by far we've ever had service us. We also floored with the prices. For what we were served, the food should have been much better quality.

We will never go back here for our ladies night out again. Be forwarned! It's not what it's cracked up to be!

I have tried the Concord and Merrimack Common Mans on numerous occasions and the Airport Diner (their little brother) in Manchester occasionally. This is one of my favorite restaurant chains in the Southern NH area.

When I work in Concord I go to their pub at least once a week to relax and read after work. The waitstaff is usually nice and attentive and the management is always warm and hospitable.

The prices on their pub menu are very reasonable and the food is, with few exceptions, excellent. The regular menu prices are more than I like to spend, but you can still order off the pub menu if you sit in the dining room. You just need to ask for it.

The combination of marvelous old farmhouse ambiance and the cozy fires in big stone fireplaces provides a splendid atmosphere in the winter! Enjoy!

The Hostess was very rude to my wife and I. The food was good but very overpriced. I would never go back..

I don't recommend any of the common man restaurants. They lack consistency. A little pricey for ok food.

Nice setting inside but rather old-fashioned boring food and expensive.

Love the new summer menu items - especially the Summer Salad! Makes it easier to stick to that summer diet! Atmosphere is great and staff was very friendly and helpful in recommending menu items for us to try. We were there on a busy Saturday night and the courteous and friendly valet took our car for us and we went right in! Highly recommend!

Food was good but my husband and I were stuck in your parking lot and couldn't get out dut to overparking of autos. We won't be back because of that. For a while we thought we were at Fenway Park.

WoW!!!! What an incredible dining expeirence. It has taken me a year to check out this place - friends had told me they weren't impressed.....I certainly will not listen to them again! We had the mussel & flatbread appetizers...perfect way to start out our meal....the mussels were perfectly sweet. For our entrees....fresh Atlantic Salmon and Prime Rib - both were great. The prime rib melted in my mouth! White Chocolate Bread Pudding for dessert - can easily see why our server recommended it - it is TO DIE FOR!!! Can't beat the value with most entrees under $20 with cheese & crackers as well as home baked bread included....can't forget about the chunks of white chocolate at the end (we took those home!) A great wine list too! Our server was excellent - friendly personality, made many informative recommendations, anticipated our every need, paired glasses of wine with our entrees for us. Atmosphere is simply amazing as well...so homey but at same time special. Had heard they had parking problems....NO problems!! They have FREE valet parking service every night. We're going back this weekend to check out their new summer menu!!!

Hey guys, thanks for a good dinner. I've eaten at a few Common Man restaurants across New Hampshire, and this one ranks up there with the best of them.

Very unimpressive place. I've been here three times (not by choice the second two times) and three strikes is most definitely out. The food is just not that good. Interstingly they no longer have the first thing I ordered here - chicken topped with crab and asparagus and hollandaise. Not good at all. $17 for a piece of chicken, four asparagus and about 1 T of canned, mini flakes of crab. This was the same night that we ordered soup/salad before dinner and before we had taken about 3 bites of our soup/salad, they brought our entrees. When I commented that we had barely started our apps the waitress actually said "should I keep it warm in the kitchen for you?". Uh, yeah, please keep my $35 worth of entrees under a heat lamp for 10 minutes or so.

Chicken Kiev was dry and flavorless. Come to think of it, Prime Rib was...dry and flavorless. Sides were unspectacular enough that I don't remember them...oh, except the most pathetic, small, overcooked, flavorless baked potato every. That came with the prime rib.

On our first visit we had the white chocolate mousse and it was the only thing that saved the meal. On a subsequent visit we ordered white chocolate bread pudding to go and that was a huge mistake. It's supposed to be one of their specialties but it was not good at all...again, no flavor and dry, even the caramel sauce couldn't save this disaster. We ate it almost immediately when we got home and it was still warm so there would be no reason for it to be that bad other than the fact it simply wasn't good to start.

I find it overpriced, loud, impersonal (service) and the food just isn't very good. There are much better restaurants at this price point. Keep driving.

I love the upstairs portion of The Common Man. You can get excellent food and drinks in a very relaxed atmosphere. I love the appitizer crab cakes, they are the best in town!
