i was disapointed when the cashier employee @ Sushiya ( Isla Vista) insisted that the imitation crab inside my role was real crab and the fact that she charged me extra for it when i requested it was equally upsetting,thinking that we wouldnt tell the difference---
Too bad !!!!! why is it so hard to find an honest sushi place??

I went here before and I thought the food was decent. I wanted to go back for my birthday dinner and what I got was not what I remembered. The menu doesn't list what exactly goes into their rolls and whether or not they were spicy. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and was very disappointed. It was sloppily put together and drenched in spicy sauce. Needless to say, for someone who cannot handle spicy things, my meal was ruined.

The food and the prices are good but the service is pretty disappointing-- especially on the phone. Customer service is probably the biggest flaw at Sushiya.

If you're ordering to go, make sure you have everything you ordered - especially if it's busy. The workers are nice but they seem very disorganized.

Fast food sushi...not my favorite. But if you need a cheap sushi fix, this will do. Teriyaki plates here are actually pretty good though.
