I absolutely adore Apple Annie's! They have created our wedding cake and our anniversary cakes, all of which have been exactly how I envisioned - moist, delicious, and beautifully designed. Their cupcakes, desserts, and baked goods are all fantastic, making it a must-visit bakery whenever I'm in Wilmington.

Went in to order a graduation cake for my son. They had a special (1/4 sheet cake on sale for $35 - which is pretty expensive), but I was willing to pay the price. I looked through a book of schools, they did not have my son's school available even though it is located in walking distance from the bakery. They had other high schools and colleges up to 2 hours away, but not the local high school.

They informed me that this special would not apply to my order and they couldn't even make a graduation cake for him.

I went to plan B and asked for a round cake which costs $27, but they couldn't do anything with his school. They said for an extra $20 they could do a diploma and cap made out of icing. Yes, $47 for a 10 inch round cake.

They didn't apologize in any way and did nothing to provide good customer service. The cakes may taste delicious, but the customer service is non-existent.

i was very disappointed in the cake i ordered for our daughter's graduation on 12/15. this was a very special occasion - she received her doctorate from uncw.

i went to the store to place the order. when i picked it up i voiced my disappointment in the message writing on the cake to the employee at the counter. i called after getting home and asked that the owner please call me about it. to add to this when we cut the cake the layers were very dry. not acceptable.

it is monday morning 12/17 at 11:30 am to i have not heard from anyone. i called and the lady that answered responded when i asked if she knew if the lady had gotten message and she said it was not there so she "assumed" she had. definitely had an attitude.

this was not a huge cake - 1/4 sheet cake - however it will certainly be the last i order from them.
