My sister and I went to Cobblestone Restaurant, Lowell to eat. We did not have a good experience. First, the bread and butter was served with a hair on one of the bread pieces. Then the butter was hard to spread on the bread as well as having a taste similar to Lestoil cleaner. Then my sister was eating her scallops and bit into a piece of wood that injured her lower gum. Lastly, the complimentary chocolate was melted. The waitress witness the hair on the bread as I notice it immediately and acted very unresponsive to everything that was going on. She came back with two comment cards which we felt were not going to be given to management. Nobody came to excuse our experience or tried to make it up to us. We were very disappointed at how such an expensive restaurant can treat their patrons like that. I wanted to add that the noodles on the scampi were raw and not aldente but I also have to say that the food was delicious.

It seems that the personnel has adopted strange manners: not only that the waitress was extremely arrogant, she knocked my nearly full glass of beer off the table, and neither apologized not replaced the spilled beer. I was invited and this did not make a fuss of it. An apology and offering a free beer wouldn't have hurt. And keeping the customer happy is the first rule. My recommendation: stay off; it's not worth dining there!

Hey Cobblestones Mgmt, thanks for gouging us at the Folk Festival this weekend. We stopped in on a hot day for a cold beer and you decide to charge $14 for two drafts. When I asked the bartender, she shrugged her shoulders in embarassment and said "well, it's the folk festival". We'll never be back.

7 of us dined there Sat 6/27. They tried to carry it as fine food and drink. The place looks great. Classic style and comfort. THE FOOD WAS ATROCIOUS. Service was awfully slow, and when the plates arrived many had been sitting under a salamander far too long, some were not cooked and sides were COLD. There seemed to be NO management supervision and they were just befuddled by 3 tables at the same time. It's a big place, Can't understand how they could not handle more than a 4 top. And the waitress whining about the new menu sounded stupid.

We have been going for years and it is by far the best restaurant outside of Boston. There should be a category here for consistency. Because the most amazing thing about Cobblestones beyond the beautiful historic building, the delicious food and the friendly and attentive staff is that it is like that each and every time. I can't say that about any other restaurant that we frequent. A must!

Beautiful building- competent, intelligent and smiling staff- and food that is to die for, you get quality and quantity at this amazing restaurant.

Cobblestones is easily the best restuarant outside of Boston and the atmosphere is remarkable. That is largely due to the fact that the building is over 100 years old. Everytime we go it is excellent on all accounts. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The food incredible. Especially the chicken marsala nd the fried brie. They also have the coolest drink menu around. Although the prking can be difficult, once inside we are always impressed that a restaurant of this quality is so close to home. We highly reccomend it!

Big problem is finding good parking, once inside things are OK, food & service is good, but a little pricy, Menu changes often, and some of the new items are way out there.

The price/value relationship is just not there. If you are going to charge upscale dining prices, you should provide upscale food. The room is very nice and the staff is attentive.

The food was tasty and delicious, price was just right, also the workers was friendly. I would recommend my friends and visitors visiting Boston to come here and dine here.
