Just this weekend my wife and I wanted to try the Bluefin. When we arrived we were only one of four tables that filled up in the hour and a half. Although our server was very nice you could tell the serving staff was never properly trained. I was very disappointed by the wine by the glass selections. They were offering wine that I can buy for $7 a bottle at $8.25 a glass. Very below average wine selections for what I thought was a fine dining restaurant.
The menu is very small with only 6-7 entree offerings. And because they offer a prix-fix menu there were no specials. I had really expected raw bar offerings, lots of fish selections but they had neither. We started with the clam appetizer which was tasty. The littlenecks were so fresh I have the crunch of sand between my teeth. :-(
I ordered the scallops and my wife ordered the fillet mignon. She always orders her fillet med-rare. It came out well done!!! A perfectly good piece of meat ruined. So she sent it back. Keep in mind there are not alot of people there so her fillet could have been back very fast if it was a priority. It took 20 minutes to get her meal. I had already finished mine and watched her eat. We got one apology from the server, nothing from the cook or hostess, and we got to pay for everything at full price. Not one single thing was offered to compensate for our inconvenience.
Highly unimpressed and I would never recommend this restaurant.
