A wonderful restaurant that I've been regularly attending for years. The latke-reuben sandwich is one of the more interesting and delicious sandwiches i've had in my life. Every Friday make sure to get all you can eat Fish Fry, its well done fish and chips that never disappoints.

review_stars 05/31/2009 - Horrible, Worst Deli food I've had
Stale rye bread, stale meat, nasty tasting coleslaw, a thin hot dog that looked like it was boiled and put in a wonder-bread bun...
What a disappointment. I'm a huge fan of authentic Jewish deli, and had long mourned the absence of same from Colorado. Friends told me this one was good, but I could tell when I walked in the door, it wasn't the real thing. It was an affront to the good name of deli. Unappetizing food, prepared like in a school cafeteria. At a good deli, the bread is fresh and sliced thin, the meat is piled high, cooked and cut that day (if not that hour) the cole slaw and Russian dressing are heavenly light and fresh.
I would urge the owners to please make their ingredients fresh, go to NY or Chicago or LA and try the best and bring it here. Then I'd be there constantly.
As it is, it's a place to avoid.

Excellent place, great staff. Everything is cooked and made well. I stop in from time to time for lunch and never been dissapointed. The staff is friendly and always ask's if you need a pickle while waiting LOL.

Hello to all,
This is a response to the previous review by the unknown lady or gentleman. We appreciate the information you have passed along regarding our restaurant. Drew and I wish you would have talked to us directly, as we would have fixed the problem immediately. We take pride in satisfying our customers needs. We are very open to input from our customers and are here 7 days a week. I'm sorry you did not like the latkes, they must not be like your Mom's. We sell hundreds of them a week to people who love them. I assure you my staff knows the difference between a knish and a latke, as them make them both. There must have been a mis-communication. I apologize that your bagels were moldy. This is a new one for us as we purchase the bagels frozen and keep them that way until sold. We buy H & h bagels from N.Y. once a week, as we consider them one of the best bagels in America. We understand they are not as good as a fresh one, but feel they are better than the local bagels when heated properly. We are in the process of sourcing a new product to replace them. We do consider ourselves a authentic Delicatessen. We make our own kugel, latkes, knish, brisket, cakes, chopped liver, tuna salad, egg salad, smoked salmon, etc... There are some items we can not make here and we attempt to bring in the best possible products to suppliment our menu. U-but syrup for egg creams, Ba-Tampte deli mustard, Dr. browns sodas, Amorosa rolls for our Philly cheese steaks, ACME smoked whitefish & whitefish salad, etc... We have been voted Best Take-Out in Boulder two years in a row. We were recently recognized in a Esquire magazine article regarding the best sandwiches in America. This recognition was for the Jimmy's favorite Sandwich. See the picture at Jimmyanddrews.com. It is delicious. Please come judge our food for yourself!!!

This is NOT an authentic jewish delicatessen. If it were the bagels would be fresh instead of frozen, and they wouldn't be moldy like the four recently purchased. If it were authentic they would know the difference between a knish and a potato latke. An honest mistake perhaps, however the latke weren't very good. I have been to this "deli" several times and have been disappointed each time. A friend recently asked me after reading a national publication claiming it one of the nations premier take out places how good it is? The answer, not very good at all. I expect more from a CIA graduate. One star is too generous.
