HORRIBLE!!!!!!! The food was cold, and the only thing you could taste was the grease. I was, very dissatisfied, and for the cost, it should have been much better.
Don't waste your money!

Looking for good Asian Food - this is NOT it. Told Sake was included with Happy hour prices -WAS NOT - Plus Sake was luke warm. Egg Rolls were greasy. Could not find the chicken in the cashew chicken. Plus entire meal was VERY SALTY. Will not go back again.

This has got to be the worst restaurant in the whole city. The food is bland and totally tasteless, but the worst part is the service. The manager does not pay any attention to the customers and is a real snob. She only checked on us 1 during our time there. Then, we saw how she was virtually yelling a some poor folks who were ordering food to go just because they were dark-skinned. When she was going to the back, we overheard her say: 'stupid idiots'. I'm never going back to this place everyone should do the same.

The food is okay, if somewhat bland. And the atmosphere is "all right." But the evident management practices in most cases leave me cold. Should you linger in a booth, for example, there is a "Mama-San" who huffs by more and more frequently, offering the "evil eye" if you don't vacate. And this is when the restaurant is NOT full, and there is NO ONE waiting to be seated!

My husband and I have been to Royal Wok many times before and had always been happy with the food. Not this time. I called in an order and was told ready in 10 minutes. We picked up the order and took it home. My husband ordered Mongolian Beef and I ordered chicken and brocolli. The Mongolian Beef is not as spicy as it used to be, which disappointed my husband. I opened my container only to find Orange Chicken. I did not want Orange Chicken and it only had a little bit of brocolli. My husband called to complain that our order was wrong. We were told that Orange Chicken and Chicken and Brocolli could be the same thing. My husband could tell the person on the phone really was not paying attention to him and she then proceeded to hang up on him. When they were in their old location the food was very good, but now it is time for us to find a new Chinese Restaurant. I will never go back there again.

So Monday the 1st of June 2009 my wife and I decide to give this place a try after seeing it making the "Best Of Longmont" for Chinese food.

Talk about a mistake.

I picked up the food which was ready in "five to ten" minutes. Granted, they were fast. I'm thinking that's because microwaves are. We ordered Sweet and Sour Pork, Buddahs Delight Vegetables (shown on their menu as "hot"), and a side of Steamed Dumplings. $25 bucks in all. Not horrendous, but I've eaten cheaper and better.

There was a little bag of eggrolls in the top of the sack I brought in, and I thought "how nice, a free bonus pack of eggrolls". I bit into one and had to spit it in the sink. It was cold and extremely greasy, like it sat in the fryer after they turned it off. OK, you get what you pay for.

So I opened the Sweet and Sour, served it up with Buddah's delight, and heated it a bit. My wife took the first bite, and I did as well. We kept eating until one of us admitted that it tasted terrible. Old grease, not so fresh tasting pork, and Buddha was no more spicy than mashed potatoes at KFC. So we tried the dumplings thinking "how bad can you f*ck up a dumpling? Well, take some play dough, fill it with some brown cabbage shreds and some other unidentifiable substance, steam it for maybe five seconds, and throw it in a container and send it out to some unsuspecting bastard. That would be me.

Well, if you've ever worked in the food industry, you know there can be bad nights. I've been employed by six or so, and its always been "satisfaction guaranteed or your money back or a full credit. So I called over to the wonderful folks at "the Wok" and asked for a manager. One one-thousand, two one-thousand, three one-thousand...you could hear the gears grinding in her head. After several seconds, she put me through to one.

I explained to the manager my royal dismay to the Royal Wok in a very kind, courteous way, as I've learned that this is the place to start. She said she was sorry and wanted to know what she could do. I told her I wanted my money back as a credit on my card.

She explained that it was not possible to do that. I asked if she was ready to lose a customer over such a thing. She said she was. End of conversation

Absolutely the BEST Chinese food in Longmont, and by far the best food value in the Boulder-Longmont corridor. Where else can you get a healthy sit-down meal for a price comparable to fast food chains? Linda, the manager and her husband, Quan, the cook, run a very clean and pleasant establishment and they address complaints promptly. Try the Cashew Chicken and the Moo Goo Gai Pan. Shimp with Vegetables for lunch is exquisite and an incredible bargain. Service with headwaiter John is the fastest in town. The new location is a bit noisy but it created more space inside and for parking.

We will not go back to this restaurant. The food was marginal. The service was sporadic. Then when the bill was presented we were "accidently" overcharged.
