I have been going to Ralphies Cafe Italiano since it opened, 43 years ago and for many years it was almost every other day with 2-3 colleagues...Then I made career change and it became once a month and eventually a few times a year, as the traffic in Salem made for a long lunchtime commute. I finally made it to the new location and it's very nice! I've had everything on the menu over the years, but one of my favorites has always been the Chicken Parmesan dinner. I had it again and it was great as always. I ate half and got 2 more meals at home from leftover, it's gigantic...I crave Ralphie's red sauce.

I have passed this restaurant so many times and decided to try. I ordered to go cheese raviolis and veal parm but when I got home I had meat raviolis which were not cooked enough - like rubber and did not care for the red sauce. Very disappointing.

My husband and I went for our anniversary. The service was perfect, the food was absolutely amazing. Large portions and very tasty. We like it so much we're going back tonight for our daughter's 21st birthday !! Also very reasonably priced for the quality of the food! Teminded us of the North end of Boston . Told friends and family, highly recommend

Before going to any new restaurant I always look at the ratings especially the neg ones..and I saw that there was a few more one star reviews than usual but I thought lets cut them some slack and give it a try because I'm sure some of the negative reviews could be plants from competing food serving houses. Well I can tell you in one short statement what I thought of Ralph's..it is one of the best, in service, food, appearance, and friendliness that I've ever eaten in and the prices are more than competitive...in short, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Went to the new place after being customers for years. Dinners came out quick, but we were not even half way through our salads. By the time we got to our dinners, they were cold. I got my favorite Pasta Raphael and was very disappointed. The ground veal had lots of rubbery grizzle balls in the sauce. The sauce was very oily and did not have a tomato taste. Instead of the bow tie pasta that used to be with it, it was ziti and VERY overcooked, falling apart on the fork. My friend got the Pasta broccoli rabe with chicken. She said it was tasteless, and didn't taste any garlic. Her chicken was just one small grilled piece, which was very dry. The quantity was generous, but the quality not as good as before. Not reasonably priced if you don't enjoy your meal and have to doctor it up when you get home. Probably will give it one more try but most likely will not be regular customers like before.

WENT TO RALPHIE'S WITH MY HUSBAND SATURDAY NITE. SAT AT THE BAR. WE HAD THE MUSSELS WITH WHITE SAUCE. FANTASTIC.

I HAD PARM OVER LINGUINI. MY HUSBAND HAD COMBINATION EGG PLANT AND CHICKEN. BOTH MEALS WERE EXCELLENT. BAR TENDER AND DRINKS WERE GREAT AND THE PLACE HAS A VERY COMFORTABLE ATMOSPHERE. WOULD LOVE TO MAKE THIS A WEEKLY THING.

Many of the meals are authentic Italian. The red sauce is very good and I like that they do not put oregano in it.(Oregano is only for pizza sauce!) Portions are big enough to get another meal out of your order. The only comment I have is the way the parmesan meals are prepared. Typically, vegetables like eggplant are cut thicker, dredged in egg wash and hen seasoned breadcrumbs before sauteing, not deep frying. I recently got eggplant parm that was sliced paper thin and deep fried with a batter coating. There was more batter than eggplant.

My wife, I and a friend stopped at Ralphies on a whim after having attended a nearby political Town Hall on December 8, 2015. It is an understatement to say that we were amazed at our good fortune! The food was great, and the service too. I had the cheese ravioli with meat sauce. The other two members of the party had the chicken parmesian. Everything was clearly home-made, and the portions were very generous. The following day my wife discovered that she had left her credit card behind. Since we live in southern MA we did not want to drive back. Ralphie's was very obliging in mailing it to her right away. Needless to say, we will be returning to Ralphie's in the near future as a part of our NH Primary involvement.

We went to dinner on a monday about one week ago. We went in and were seated at the high tables by the bar. We didn't see anyone for some time. After a while the bartender came over and took our drink order. After the drinks were brought over we didn't see anyone at all. Apparently we were never assigned a waitress or waiter. I had to flag someone down to take our order, then our meals came and the girl noticed we didn't have any bread etc. and said she would get some. Bread comes and we never see another person at our table! My wife had eggplant parm and it was so soggy and the breading was like onion ring batter. We finally got the attention of the bartender again and he asked what was up. we told him and he offered to remove it from the bill, but from the rest of our experience so far my wife gave up on anything else. To not be waited on when you go out does not make for an enjoyable experience. Then for the meal to be disappointing puts a cherry on top.

OMG! have NEVER been so disappointed at a restaurant! Pasta was overcooked and Ive had better sauce out of the jar! I went to this place years ago and liked it but it has gone WAY down hill! We went out for our anniversary and it was the worst choice we ever made. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I wanted pasta fagioli. It had a nice flavor.Short on beans and had spaghetti in it.
Shrimp Scampi was tasteless not one bit of garlic butter. It would have been better served with garlic bread to add to the nothing taste. I will not go back. BRING POLCARIES BACK!!!!!!!!!

Would not allow kids pasta to be served with alfredo sauce, not even for an upcharge. Marinara was runny and cheap tasting. After 5 minutes, the marinara started to separate into oil, grease and runny tomato sauce. This was clearly made with low quality ingredients. For kids pasta with meatball, the meatball costs an extra dollar but you actually only get half of a meatball. Actual prices on menupix are well below actual prices. Restaurant didn't care, said "oh, didn't think that was still up there." They don't even have their own website? Ridiculous, will never go there again.

Went to Ralphie's sat. with our friends from Hudson NH. They told me i wouldn't leave hungry. I ordered the pork cutlet and spag w/1 meatball. The meatball was tender, large and good. The pork cutlet is the best as is the sauce for the spag & meatball. Can't wait to go back again.

Simply, the best.
The place to go to eat good Italian food.
Not so much if you are looking for ambiance but you will not leave hungry.

I've been dining at Ralphie's for 22 years. The first time there was a freezing cold night. It was empty. Looked at the menu, and at the time it didn't include veal, which is what I was looking for. Almost left, but the waitress Lisa told us they had pork cutlet's and every thing was home made. We both ordered it, and fell in LOVE with this place!! I've sent countless people there since and always a thumbs up!! Good prices. Great meals!! Then tried the Collisium up the street. 5 times the price and the food doesn't hold a candle to Ralphie's. Its the best!

We're from Phoenix, AZ and when we are visiting New Hampshire we never miss a visit to Ralphie's! Our favorites are the Ravioli, Chicken Parm and Eggplant. Very homey and delightful service. The Feole's make everyone feel like family. Only wish we could eat there more often.
