It's been 3 weeks after my wedding reception at sundance. I purposely waited to post my review on the restaurant bar bistro 608. I wanted to make sure I was giving a review based on how things went and not just an upset bride. The restaurant is beautiful for a modern party, I can't tell you how many guest have said that they loved the atmosphere. If you are looking for a hip place this could be for you. I was one of those brides that was not concerned with the small details, I did not have my wedding already planned out so I didn't think to fuss over small things but now I wish I would have had someone helping me along the way. If you do have your reception there I recommend you pay someone for the day to deal with 608 - it would be for your best interest. Merijoy who runs the group functions there was very nice overall - we sent many emails back in fort, up to the wedding day she always responded quickly.
1. Name misspelled. A GUEST had to find someone and tell them that a sign at the entrance had my name misspelled. So let's say your name is Diana but they put Deana - not the same thing but my guest felt it was funny.
2. No vegetables served with the meals. I will take part of the blame and say yes I missed this on the contract - Yes I was a stressed out bride that overlooked this but boy this will burn me till the day I die. Merijoy says that she knows I had told her 'I hate vegetables' - I checked every email dealing with Merijoy and could not find any statement like this - I picked two meals that were on the menu that come with a vegetable - I was charged full price but no vegetable. Would anyone say oh please go ahead and charge me for something I'm not getting?
3. The music: What a dis appointment - I wish someone had told me this - everything was fine up to the dance time - the level of their sound system does not get very loud and it was hard to get people to dance when you could hear people's conversations across the floor. I spent months finding music for my wedding and it was so sad to not be able to turn the music up so people could dance. I asked the staff repeatedly to turn up the music and every time they said 'sure no problem' but after the eight time when I asked why it didn't sound any different then when I had asked the first time they then told me that was as loud as it could go.
4. Lack of respect for my things. I had rented vases from a flower shop and the next morning I went to get my things and a case/box of vases was gone - among other things of mine that were just not there anymore. I emailed Merijoy and it took a few days and a couple more emails before she responded. the best answer she could give me was this - 'Please note that according to our contract, we are not responsible for items you bring into the building' and that it must have been my guest.
I will say this it's a nice looking place and the food (what we did get) was very good. The staff is a bit snotty and the prices are high for what you get. If I could do a 'do over' would I have it there again.... I don't think so.

Rather lackluster food and service. Food was bland, prices were quit a bit higher, especially considering across the street 3 other restaurants provide much better food at a more reasonable price. Go for a movie(maybe) and avoid the food.

The food was a major dissapointment. When food was sent back because the quality was so poor, the waitress then took 10 minutes to come up with a menu for a different choice. Everyone at my table was finished eating by then, so I opted not to get anything else. I was then told that they could only take off 50% of the cost of my meal. This is the tackiest customer service I have ever experienced and I will not be returning. It makes me terribly sad because I love the Sundance brand, but they lost a good customer and several patrons who witnessed this pathetic situation.
