Authentic Jamaican food in Wisconsin. Who would have thunk it. Was thrilled to find this restaurant here and the great reviews. Was happier when the food was outstanding.

My son brought me Jerk pork, red beans and rice, and cabbage slaw for my Mother's Day present. WOW!!! I cannot stop talking about how good David's food is. I heard about the Friday Night Buffet, and I am thinking I will have to drive to Madison to check this out (I live in Elkhorn). Thank you, David for one very good Mom's Day!

Seriously, this place is one of the best kept secrets in Madison. Same thing everyone else says - amazing food (you can't go wrong), huge portions, and a decent price.

Davids has generous portions of GREAT food! Been my favorite for a long time. The people who work there are awesome too.

We visited David's for the first time. Like previous reviews, the building is nothing to get excited about (but very clean) and the service was mediocre. I don't go to a place because of service, and the food at David's did not disappoint. In fact all four people in my family absolutely loved it and we cannot wait to go back. We stuffed ourselves beyond capacity and still needed a box. You can bet we will be bring friends and relatives there.

I have no idea why others recommend this place. I went there based the review from the others. I thought the food was good.I had its lunch buffet. The food was cold and plain. The restaurant was dirty.Only one lady works as a waitress also a cashier.I had to pick up the utensil from another table myself. It wasn't worthy the money that I paid.

We LOVE the jerk pork! We pick it up and eat it at home for the next two days. The portions are large. Best pork around! Its a must to get extra sauce! Very very delicious!

The food is Ire', the music is also Ire'. And ,David is a righteous man who puts the positive vibes in the cooking. It's Jamaican so loosen up a bit and relax. Soon come!

Went there today for the buffet. Food was great, the jerk ribs and coleslaw were excellent. Jerk chicken was good... the banana cake was really good. The jerk sauce had flavor but can be a bit spicier. Overall, it was good. Definitely would go back!

Yummy! Staff is friendly and food is always tasty. We usually order for take-out instead of eating in and it's still good at home (even for left overs the next day).

The jerk pork is amazing!!! lunch prices are a fantastic value. The atmosphere is not so pretty but it is laid back and the service is average.
