I love this place. It has great pizza and pasta dishes. Friendly staff, food comes in great timing. I take all my family and friends here and they always want to order when they come over. Thanks for having such a great restaurant.

I just recently ate at the west side Picasso's and ended up on the toilet for the next 48 hours. When I wasn't in the bathroom I was in bed puking. Something is wrong with the way the food is prepared or stored at this restaurant. I know I can not be the only one that has had this horrible experience after eating at Picasso's because the two friends that I went dined with also complained of similar results. I should have known not to eat there immediately because of the rats running across the floor boards while we were waiting for our food. Yes, seriously, rats. If you want to take the plunge and eat at Picasso's, go ahead, but you may want to take the next couple of days off to recover.

Wow! What a great place. the atmosphere is dark and a little dingy, but the food is excellent! we started with the fried portabella with a cajun ranch sauce and they were to die for! next was a picasos's salad with blue cheese and bacon and it was delicious! They make all their own dressings! the blue cheese was great! Finally came our pizza, the Venetian. WONDERFUL!!! perfect flavor, perfect crust. Truly excellent. The server wasa terrific a young girl with long curly hair. She made the recommendations and provided terrific customer service. Thanks to her and the food my husband and I had a wonderful date! I very much recommend this place.

This restaurant is one of my favorite places to order food from on the westside... when it comes to the food and the food alone. Nearly everytime me and my family order takeout form here, there is either something missing or there is something wrong with the order. The only reason we continue to order from them is because their food is delicious. Te service is among the poorest i have ever seen.

Don't listen to the other reviews...
Try a BBQ Jucy Lucy Burger
or the Jambalaya Pasta!

also... best onion rings in town (ask for them extra crispy)

This place is horrible. I would never recommend eating here ever. Last time I was there two rats came out of the kitchen in the booth I was sitting in. I do not know why the department of health has not done something about this. Do not eat here.

Absolutely the best thin crust pizza in town. Not even close. Fettucine with wild mushroom sauce is probably the best pasta deal in town. Incredibly flavorful and very generous portion. Choppy service sometimes, but they genuinely care and do there best. Haven't had their fish fry in a while but used to be among the best in Madison. With the economy struggling, our family has cut back on eating out, but Picasso's is hard to resist.

Garden outside is nice, though some of the tables are mildewed and the plastic is crumbling. One of their signature dinners (chicken and wild mushroom fettucini) has very few mushrooms and lots of chicken; low on flavor. Pizza decent, though not the best in town. From the online menu and website decor, we expected something more than a pizza joint; think it needs to determine what sort of service it wishes to offer, improve it and stick with it.

The place was dimly lit when we were there, and the resturaunt was busy. We felt very cramped. I tried the alfredo and all you could taste was nutmeg...gross! Ive heard of putting a VERY little bit in the sauce which is ok, but the amount they put in is overwhelming. I have had their pizza delivered and it is some of the best pizza I ever had. Maybe they should just stick to that.

To answer the questions of legality a previous poster raised.....Yes it is legal to smoke them at an offsite location and then bring them to the business, provided the sanitary rules have been followed. As for the wine, yes it is legal to go next door and get a bottle to sell at the business. They have a liquor lisence so they can sell the alcohol, it doesnt matter how they aquire it, so long as its not stolen. And most people would veiw that as exceptional customer service, I mean they are going to buy it just for YOU, when they could have just said tough luck, we are out until we get our next order.

We stopped in as their ad stated that they smoked their own ribs and chicken with a southern pride smoker and I love real smoked meats. The items were on the menu, but when I asked to see the smoker as I could not smell it, I was told that they smoked all of the food at the owners house in New Glarus. They then brought the stuff in. Is that legal? The place was very dirty and the bathroom backed up into the restaurant while we were sitting before placing our order. The food is touted as being homemade in all their ads. Because of the open kitchen, we were able to see that the pastas were coming out of a bag in the freezer and then being plated and microwaved. After a few bites, we left it all there and took off after paying the check. I heard that the pizza is good, but I don't think that we'll be back anytime soon or will recommend. Oh- they were out of cabernet, but they offered to go next door to the liquor atore and buy us some to purchase. Is that legal?

We waited over an hour and a half to get a delivery from this place. Also the neighborhood isn't very safe. We were harassed by beggars upon getting out of our cars twice at the location in Fitchburg.
