The Scallop Special Roll, Soft Shell Crab Roll, Tin Foil Special, and tempura shrimp & vegetable entree all impressed me, with the Tin Foil Special standing out for its rich, creamy seafood flavor. The excellent service, fresh ingredients, and lively atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience that I'm eager to revisit.

After having been shut down for the past 3 years or so, Kintaro has shifted from an elegant, somewhat intimate dining establishment to an open floor, cafeteria-style mess hall. My wife and I were practically shouting at each other in order to be heard above the din of controlled chaos around us. It certainly didn't bother a lot of the clientele-the place was packed. Food was just ok. If you want authentic Japonese cuisine in a much less invasive environment go to Lemongrass Grill.
