I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone anymore. Years ago, this used to be a popular place to eat. On the two occasions that we went to eat here, the place was empty. On a recent visit, the wafu ahi was not fresh, making it difficult to eat. We decided to give it another chance tonight, and were turned away. It was 30 minutes to closing, but were told, "Sorry" by the waitress. If they plan to turn away customers 30 minutes before the posted closing, they should not say that they are open until 9:00 at night. It is very upsetting that patrons are asked to pay 3 dollars to park, only to be turned away from a restaurant that advertises that they are open until 9:00. We then drove to another Japanese restaurant in Liliha, where they welcomed us in, even if their posted closing was the same as Hifumi. There is a reason why they were packed, and Hifumi was not. Commitment to their customers is not a priority, either in freshness of food, or delivery of service.
