I always looked forward to eating there. Perfect!. Not too spicy for seniors, but can be if wanted. Not sure of poor reviews.

Great food and great service! Love to sit on the patio and listen to the "cody life"

What a great place, food is good and very well priced. The patio was a surprise and the MEXI MARGARETA was outstanding( you can only have 3!).Over all a great place to eat.

Where to start with this wretched place? After a long day of driving, we went looking for food in Cody. It was a busy night and our first few choices were full up until 9pm. My girlfriend used to live in the area and said that La Comida was good in the past. Well, the past is just that, the past. We were seated outside when it was threatening to rain (not under cover, mind you). Luckily it only sprinkled a bit. That was the highlight and only positive moment of the evening. It took them almost 30 mins to bring water and take a drink order. The House Margarita is brown. Never seen a brown Margarita before. It's only saving grace is that it was strong. Too strong. Like they need to compensate for something, which as it turns out, they do. We barely saw our waitress and finally got a food order going. After sitting for nearly an hour and a half, the people behind us (who had been there before us) were finally served. I thought they had already finished and were just socializing. Their food came out cold. Our food arrived at the hour and a half mark as well and was also cold. The "Mexican" rice was not even cooked (i.e. hard as a rock). The guacamole looked like plastic (I wasn't about to touch it). The rest was just nasty. We tried to choke a few bites down, as we were hungry and didn't want to start the process of finding another place to eat on a busy night in town. Couldn't do it. I heard that the other table had decided to complain to the management and were being treated badly by them. I went to lend my support for their cause, as well as my own. The manager on duty (I guess), was paying only the basic lip service to their concerns (the old, here's a coupon for more of this crappy food, trick). I put in my two cents of support and the waitstaff actually told us to "F*&% Off" and go to McDonalds! Nope! Wrong answer! We walked out the door. I have never been treated so badly by anyone in the service industry and have never walked out of a restaurant before. If this place was indeed good at one point, those days are long gone. Do not go here! You will regret it! The morning after (as I write this) I can report that my girlfriend and I feel unwell (stomach problems to say the least). Basic food poisoning is my guess. Never been so thankful that we got our Hep A & B shots to travel in places far cleaner than this rathole!

I looked up their bad Tripadvisor ratings and the manager's response to one complaint is very telling:

"If you are looking for authentic Mexican - we probably not your place of choice."

I have news for you, not only do you not serve authentic Mexican food, you don't even serve a vague American concept of bad Mexican food. This is not even food. The incarcerated deserve better food than this. Mexicans are a good and noble people. You insult them by calling this a Mexican restaurant!

What a great place, good food and great service.
Prices were good, the house Margaretta is Strong and you can only have 3? I had trouble drinking 1, but it was fun trying. Will go again when in Cody!

Poor service and below average food. Cheap margaritas but they clearly survive by turning over tourists...I can't imagine locals eating here.
