With a Michelin Guide rating and numerous positive reviews, expectations were quite high prior to dining here. The menu offers a variety of innovative Asian fusion dishes, with highlights including the bison tartare, mussels in miso butter, and black cod in tomato dashi broth, complemented by well-crafted cocktails and a modern, spacious dining area. While the ambiance is appealing and some dishes stood out, service inconsistencies and a few less impressive items suggest there is room for improvement overall.

I had heard so much hype about this place, with its Michelin guide rating and all the rave reviews, so my expectations were pretty high. The building itself was inconspicuous, tucked away just outside Vancouver's Chinatown, which made it a bit tricky to find at first. Despite the initial struggle, the neighborhood vibe was cool, and I could see the potential of this eatery bringing more life to the area. The open dining space had a modern feel, with communal and standard tables, and the kitchen setup added to the overall atmosphere.
