My mom spent decades warning me about how bad the hospital's food was, and as a kid, I didn't care for their Mexican dishes either. But recently, I ordered to-go and was blown away by the flavors, especially the bean and cheese taco and the perfectly cooked chicken soup broth-friendly staff and reasonable prices make it a solid choice whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

When my mother, who worked as a nurse at the hospital for 30 years, warned me about the food at this place, I hesitated to try it. As a child, I didn't enjoy the authentic Mexican cuisine offered here, so I stayed away for years. However, on a recent visit, I decided to give it another chance and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious bean and cheese taco I ordered. The flavors were spot-on, and I will definitely be returning to try more dishes in the future.

This place actually deserves 0 stars for giving themselves a 40% tip! My husband and 3 1/2 year old son tried this place for the first time for breakfast on Sunday, February 9, 2014, 8:30am. Our bill came out to be $23.50. They included an automatic $4.25 tip when we gave them a $15 restaurant.com gift certificate. We signed an extra $1.00 tip. However, when I received my credit card bill, they added an extra $4.00, for a total of $9.25 tip on a $23.50 tab! I'm so angry that we will never return to this restaurant again! It's the principle of the matter. It's to the customer's discretion on how much to give on tip and not to add extra tip without our knowledge.
