After a debate over lunch between a HK bistro in the mall or a Shanghainese restaurant on Kingsway, we ended up at Dinesty in Burnaby with my mom's choice. The restaurant was quiet during our visit on a Tuesday afternoon, with attentive service from the wait staff. The dishes we ordered, including hot and sour soup, pan-fried noodles, pork XLBs, and scrambled egg with prawns, were all enjoyable, with my personal favorite being the scrambled egg and prawns for its fluffy texture and perfect seasoning.
