I have a strong preference for cakes without the hard layer of fat commonly used for decoration, but despite this, I was pleasantly surprised by the chocolate cake I tried here. The cake had a light, not overly sweet buttercream and a flavorful, moist chocolate batter that tasted homemade. I was impressed with the quality of the ingredients used, and I look forward to sampling more flavors in the future.
