This sandwich shop, while not in the most attractive area, offers some of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever tasted. The portions are generous, with options like the Philly cheesesteak and Hot Pepper Philly standing out for their rich flavors and fresh ingredients. Despite its humble appearance, the cleanliness and friendly service make it a worthwhile stop for anyone craving a satisfying sub.

This sandwich shop may not have the trendiest location or the most attractive storefront, but let me tell you, the sandwiches are out-of-this-world delicious! My go-to is the super, but honestly, all the steak sandwiches are fantastic. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the prices are unbeatable. It's been a favorite of mine for years, and I hope it continues to thrive for many more to come.

Mr. submarine started as a small chain i believe in the early 80s and i used to go to one on south gessner till it closed. liking their sandwiches so much i went to one in bellaire near chimney rock till it closed. then i went to the one on south shepherd and guess what. now the mr. submarine on mangum carries on the grand philly tradition of its namesakes serving great sandwiches at great prices even while holding the line on rising food and labor costs. i don't know this for a fact because it's none of my business but i believe the lovely lady running the kitchen has been working there for many years and i would like to believe she bought the place from the former owner and has kept the place open just to satisfy my craving for those wonderful philly sandwiches. her friendly son runs the front and is as nice as can be. i have talked to a few other patrons and one couple told me they drive all the way from sugarland for that mr. submarine experience. i don't know what's so special about subway or jimmy john or jersey mike but no one can sink mr. submarine. the grilled onions...the sauce...the provolone...the beef cut off a rotisserie. they all live on a mister submarine!!!!!
