Seated in a beautifully restored historic home along the river, I savored a relaxed atmosphere paired with exceptional dishes like the tender bison steak and delicate bison carpaccio, all while enjoying the smooth sounds of a jazz band. Though some desserts fell short and a sablefish dish disappointed, the fresh, inventive flavors-from the earthy beet salad to the perfectly cooked lamb-combined with attentive service and charming garden views made for an unforgettable culinary experience.

The Deane House offers easy parking, a beautiful setting on the river, and a relaxed atmosphere that sets the stage for a lovely dining experience. While some dishes may be on the expensive side and desserts might not be their strongest suit, the bison steak and bison carpaccio are standout choices. The historical charm of the venue, combined with the live jazz music on Wednesdays, creates a memorable dining experience that shouldn't be missed.
