The lady working there is always so cheerful and lively, a typical Filipino woman that puts a smile on your face. It's a cozy little joint, and as soon as we stepped inside, she switched on the Filipino channel. The combo plate is a great deal - you get two meats and a generous portion of white rice for just $6.50. We tried a variety of dishes, and while everything was tasty, the adobo seemed a bit off, though I still enjoyed it. The caldereta was especially delicious, I couldn't stop drooling over it. Even though I was stuffed from devouring all the rice and some of my loved ones' portions, I would've kept eating if I had any room left. I've tried all the Filipino spots in Houston, and there aren't many, but this is definitely one that I'll be returning to whenever I'm in the mood for Filipino cuisine, which is quite often.
