I discovered La Hacienda Super Market when I noticed the sign for Tortilleria on the building. The store surprised me with its ability to produce such fresh and delicious corn tortillas in such a small space. The tortilla maker always greets me warmly as I watch the tortillas being made, and I enjoy grabbing a pound of the toasty tortillas to take home between my regular trips to HEB or Fiesta for groceries. Their tamales and tacos, made with freshly made tortillas, are particularly delicious, and the store offers a wide range of authentic Mexican food items, including homemade salsas, chicharones, mole, and roasted chicken.
