One of the best Indian spots on the island! I wish they would bring back okra; it would make this a 5-star spot. Excellent food, flavors, and service. A group of 7 of us tried various meals, and they were all delicious. The patio is great in the summer, and the prices are reasonable. Authentic, delicious, and definitely my go-to in Ladysmith.

My wife and I have eaten at Spice Hut in Ladysmith BC or we have ordered take out. I am totally amazed at the great food. My favorite (Butter chicken) is just totally crazy good. The pieces of chicken nearly fall apart. And the staff are amazing people. I walk in, and I'm greeted by name. That says they take an interest in their customers. We're not just a total at the bottom of a receipt, we are real people. And the chefs are the best. They know me by name as well. But the mild butter chicken meal....is wow great. Spice Hut, you rock!!!

When I order lamb, I don't expect mutton! Pieces of meat in my curry were Huge, tasteless & tough. Rice had sprinkles of something that reminded me of weevils. ACK! Naan bread was soggy and inedible. I decided my $23.00+ meal was destined for the compost bin so it wouldn't be a total waste. Hope the rats enjoy it because I sure didn't! Worst meal I've had since Masala in London Eng shopping mart which I sent back and demanded a refund. Shame on the bunch of you!

I was very impressed with the quality of food at this place. Everything we had was perfectly spiced and so delicious. Definitely going to return.
