Well, yes I found it, THE BEST DAMN SANDWICH ANYWHERE! The second you step inside you realize your not in a typical deli lunchcounter. Fortunately you're off the beaten path and this gem hasn't been found by the masses (yet). A great place to bring a lunch date. The Longtrail and The Vermonter or The Ruben's Place are awesome but I'm sold hook-line-and-sinker on the Phish sandwich. Trust me

I work in N. Scottsdale (Live in old town) and easily go to Vermont 3 times a week. They have the freshest breads, meats and veggies of any sandwich place. You will never find wilted lettuce, or hard bread there. The sandwiches consist of fantastically different combinations than you would normally see at a sandwich joint (turkey,ham,cranberry sauce, onion, and granny smith apples?? AMAZING.)
they have salads, wraps, and sandwiches. and all are large portions.... you cant get a sandwich there thats less than 4 inches off your plate. they're serious about their sandwiches.... not to mention their amazing home made sides. Potato salad is phenomial. they also have pasta salad, chips and coleslaw. all of which are amazing. if you take nothing else from this review.... please take this.... TRY THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES............... baked fresh.. still soft. alot of the time still warm.
