During a recent visit to town, we tried Uncle Sam's Italian restaurant after encountering a long wait elsewhere, and despite a busy rush, we were seated immediately. The food was exceptional, with delicious pizzas, pasta dishes, and sides that reminded me of my Italian upbringing near Chicago, and the service, though initially slow due to the staff's heavy workload, turned out to be excellent. The ambiance was charming, especially dining outside by the fountain, and the friendly, attentive staff made the experience memorable enough that we plan to return and explore more of their menu.

If you like garlic bread that tastes like it was flavored with red pepper flakes and brick hard cannoli, you'll love this place.
