Visiting from NYC, I enjoyed the old-school diner atmosphere and hearty, flavorful meals like the corned beef hash with eggs and the steak and eggs, all served by attentive staff who remembered many customers by name. The coffee was consistently refreshed, portions generous, and while the Friday Fish Fry is popular, other specials like stew and cornbread were also satisfying, making it a reliable choice for comfort food with friendly service.

This is an old traditional diner which has kept its ambience throughout the years, the kind of place not easily found now. Get off Interstate 8 at 4th Avenue and head south on 4th Avenue. This is toward Yuma and away from Winterhaven. After about ten blocks and you will see it on the left (east) side of 4th Avenue.
