Definetly what would be called a 'mom & pop' restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and like a local family meeting place. There's a television up in one corner, music and a homey decor that includes live plants. Our server brought us all the fresh chips and salsa that we could eat; good salsa, spicy and not too hot. The seafood appears fresh, and the margaritas are large. We usually get the 2x1 menu. My companion orders tacos and tamales; I order the chilie rellanos and enchiladas. The selections are hand made, and greatly vary as to taste, texture and flavor, but that is part of the charm. We have always enjoyed our meals here. These plates come with rice and beans. The total for two plates and beverages are around $15 to $18. I usually have a Tecate with mine, as I'm not driving. Great place! We try to go once a month at least.
