We had an impromptu lunch at the Secret Garden today and it was very, very good! The beef veggie soup was delicious, the fruit salad actually had tasty honeydew melon. I have not had sweet honeydew in many years and normally cringe when I see it in fruit salad. I appreciated that their signature apricot mango tea was not sweetened! Their menu had a good variety!

I've visited and greatly enjoyed the ambiance and menu selections of the Secret Garden Restaurant on numerous occasions and have seen and been apart of many happy events celebrated there. Today I called to schedule a luncheon and new baby celebration for ten to twelve ladies from my work in three weeks. I was told #1 they don't take reservations #2 if we did come we'd have to come at 11am when they open because their regular lunch crowd come at 1130a which is the time I requested #3 we had too many people and #4 I should go to another restaurant that was bigger. Honestly, these are the words this man used. So the man that answered the phone told me they weren't interested in our business. Don't know if he was just a regular employee or the restaurant manager or what, but he indicated by the way he talked to me that the Secret Garden is not interested in business growth or serving the community of Fort Worth. I have spoken with two other tea rooms in Fort Worth who both have indicated they want our business for our little celebration of life. Not one of the twelve of us will ever step another foot in the "not so secret garden". What a shame!
