Arc-En-Ciel was a pioneer in the Dallas/Fort Worth dining scene, standing out as an original and longstanding establishment that outshone its imitators like Caravelle and Maxims over time. While some critics may have fixated on their dim sum offerings, the true appeal of Arc-En-Ciel lay in its extensive selection of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes, including unique creations like shrimp baked in cheese. As someone who frequented this establishment weekly from childhood to adolescence, I can attest to the exceptional quality of the food, particularly the Imperial Rolls and the memorable interactions with the owner and the vibrant atmosphere during special occasions such as Chinese weddings.
