If you like soul food, smothered in fat and salty enough to replace salt licks, then this place may be Nirvana. However, if you are trying to eat even a little bit health, I suggest you steer well clear of this place! Otherwise, risk the chance of absorbing the fat saturated air surrounding this joint!

If you are away from home and miss the smell and taste of your mommas cooking, Big Momma's Soul Food is the next best thing. Big Momma truly remains me of home. When you smell can the array of southern food (smother pork chops, chicken and dumplings, fried and baked chicken, with a side of homemade Mac and cheez, rice, collard greens and corn bread. You cannot complete the meal without dessert a choice between peach or apple cobbler, sweet potato pie, German chocolate or yellow cake with caramel icing. The part that is truly AMAZING is it's BUFFET style just like at home. So, if you want to good southern soul food cook-in go to Big Momma's in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. You will not regret or forget it.

This is nothing like Big Momma's in Miami, Fl. I don't know if they have the same owners but, if you want to taste real soul food from Big Momma's Soul Food, try the one in Miami... really, really GOOD!
