Gator Joe's has always been a wonderful experience. Me and my wife have been coming there for many many years, and also I have been coming there since I was a kid, we spend our anniversary there every year to eat at gator Joe's, the food is always wonderful, the service is always wonderful. I have absolutely nothing negative to say, it is a very romantic place to be, and watch the sunset on the lake with your lady, and the fried gator is out of this world, and their wings are to die for, just can't say enough about this place. It is absolutely phenomenal .

Drove 180 miles with my boat to spend a day on Lake Weir with my family and eat at Gator Joe's. Right from the start it didn't go well. We ordered 6 sweet teas, got unsweet and the waitress Brandy seemed passively upset when we pointed out the error. Our meals all came out separate and the rest of the service was cursory, we had to stop her for everything. She must have sensed our dismay and compensated by adding the gratuity to the check. I had read reviews that the food and location are great but the service was so-so. I am hear to confirm that this place is a BAR not a restaurant. I did not enjoy the trip and the next boat drop will not happen in Lake Weir.
