To whom it may concern:
I had the pleasure to dine at your establishment on October 1, 2010. I was excited because on yesterday, I spoke to a very enthusiastic young lady, which informed me reservations were not necessary, but on Saturday’s it is best to have a reservation. To my dismay, when my partner and I presented to Grill One Sixteen, the hostess was very rude. She informed me that a table for two would not be a problem, but she had a reservation for that table, “ so we will have to eat quick, be done in an hour” and then she verbalized “ do not hang around and talk after your meal.” I wanted to leave right at that time, but the ambiance was just what I expected, so I took a chance. The hostess guided my partner and I to the table, and then she went and told “Tyler”, our waiter something. Tyler comes to the table and verbalized” I hear- I need to take care of you quickly. What would you like to drink and would you like any appetizers”. We were not greeted, nor were we welcomed. I was really upset about the way I was treated. We ordered our meals, which both were flavorful. Next, the hostess started pacing, and I became very anxious, and afraid to finish my meal. I had Tyler box my Angus steak and bring me the bill.
I would like to inform you that I have fine dining experience. Although your establishment has a wonderful atmosphere, I will never return. I do not fault Tyler because he was told to hurry and complete the table in one hour. For the record, we were done in 36minutes. Your hostess was so rude; in fact, she was rude with a smile. Perhaps we were the wrong type patron for Grill One Sixteen. I am very upset about my treatment. I believe in treating all of my patients with respect, even though I am busy. I have patient’s waiting for me, and I treat each patient with dignity. I feel sorry for your wait staff that must comply with your hostess behavior. I hope your rude hostess has not affected your wait staffs gratuity. Our bill came to $60.00 and I usually give a 20% gratuity. Because I was rushed, Tyler only received $10. I will never forget this for the rest of my life.

The food was fairly good, except for the most important part- the steak. Everyone's steak at the table was overcooked and not at all juicy. The sides were good, but not very big, and the food we took home was not the food we asked to be boxed up. I would not go back. There are far too many places that offer better food for the same or better price. When it comes to this restaurant, keep moving.
