The food and atmosphere were decent, and despite the slow service on a Monday night, we enjoyed sitting outside with live music. The lunch specials like pierogies and hunter stew were amazing, and the wings were a great deal at just 50 cents each on Sundays. The service was wonderful, and although the ambiance with random celebrity pictures was a bit odd, the outdoor area was cool and inviting.

Frozen seafood prices above market. Eat at your own risk.

Going down hill fast. Fried Haddock came out cold and veggies undercooked. Filet over cooked. Clearly this is not the Howard's that was good. Will never go back. When the chef and servers left it's been downhill ever since. I will not pay for quality that I am not getting

Unfortunately, I had to give this restaurant a one star but in reality it does not deserve that! The fried fish dinner was awful, fish that was way too brown, dry and not tasty. The stuffed shrimp early bird dinner came with two stuffed small shrimp and the crab meat stuffing was tasteless. Upon asking for a second helping of fish, I was served another way to brown piece that was cut in half, totally unacceptable. The interior of the place is ugly and not appealing. I felt like I was eating in a dinner.

I do NOT recommend going here!

We went for a Christmas party on 12/14/14. We were placed by the bar, which was very noisy and a lot traffic going back and forth to the restrooms. The food was so so. The service was terrible and slow. The servers messed up on the billing and had to have it corrected. Not sure we will return.

I'm only giving it one star because there has to be a star there or it would be no stars. I was there with a party of 4 for dinner on 2/15/14. We arrived after 7 pm. We were tole it would be about a 30 minute wait. There bar area was very busy & it took along time to get served (maybe the cashier could bartend in a pinch to help out?) after receiving our drink we noticed a table at the bar area that we couldn't tell if it was being used or not. We were rudely told that the customers were at the salad bar. We stood around some more & notice one of those high bar tables became available, so we walked over and sat down. We were yelled at and scolded in the ruddeest manner I have ever seen displayed in a place of businesses to a customer. I felt like I was given a dunce cap & stuck in a corner. We didn't know the rules we had never been here before. I was ready to leave at this point, however one of the people I was with was shy about leaving. Rebecca was the person who yelled at us, & she even grabbed another woman to join in. The salad bar was a joke, out of this & that non stop. When my sister pointed it out to Rebecca she told us how far it is to walk to get supplies. Really? Our waitress cleared away our salad plates and told us how slammed the kitchen was, so what? What are you in business for? We waited 90 minutes and did not have our food. We walked right out the door. Go some where else lots of great restaurants with wonderful service in the area.

Have been going to Howards for years and always look forward to the crab legs all you can eat every year as soon as we get here for Memorial Day. Much to our surprise they have changed the entire menu and the salad bar was nothing like it used to be.
Very Very disappointed in this new menu and will not be back.

We visited Howard's after seeing they had a four out of five star rating. I was especially interested in the salad bar since it was suppose to be great. The salad bar had lettuce and tomatoes with several choices of dressing and that was all. There were bean salads, corn salads, pasta salads and a potato salad and each had zero flavor and/or were dry. My husband and I had the New York strip and 3 oz lobster tail. The lobster tail was coated with what must have been something like Old Bay and it completely took away from the lobster; we had to scrape it off and found the lobster was dry without it. The NY strip was over done and incredibly dry; truly the WORST steak I have ever had. The mashed potatoes were terrible as well and I was unaware someone could ruin those. Even the sweet tea had a poor taste to it; I am from the north and know how to make southern sweet tea. My daughter also had to scrape the seasoning off her seafood dish and said the crab stuffing was not good at all. We had visited another restaurant the evening before, The Lock and Key and it was quite good; actually I have never been to a restaurant while visiting Florida that I disliked this much to write a review. Service was also terrible; she brought us a small pitcher of tea and assumed that was all we needed and did not check back with again until it was time to bring the bill; we had plates piled up-maybe since we could not finish the food, she thought we were not finished. I really do not know where the four star ratings came from that I had read; this dining experience was terrible.

Best fish and salad bar around. Excellent menu with something for everybody and definitely priced within reason. Always packed during season and often during Summer months due to high quality food and fair prices.

Delicious soups. Best salad bar in town and entrees that are just great. No need to leave Englewood and head north or south. Some of the finest dining around.

ONLY complaint was being seated directly in front of the entertainment.....too loud.

Clean, good prices, excellent food....you won't be disappointed and if you are, you'd probably find something to be disappointed about anywhere else.
