While visiting my elderly mother, my sister, our friends and I decided to go to Tarpon Springs. We had a lovely time on the diver boat and the dolphin/seashell excursions. We spent a lot of money on the excursions and sovereigns. Tourist keep Tarpon Springs in business. Needless to say we were very hungry after the excursions and we decided to go to Mamas. We have been there before with no incidents. A busboy sat us quickly. We were sat outside by the bar in a smoking area. No one acknowledged are presence at all. Busboy gave us bread. We sat for an eternity and finally we had to go to the cashier to see if we were going to be waited on. Finally a waitress came over and she definitely had an attitude. She skipped over my sister because she didn't say her order fast enough. My elderly mother was famished and this place could care less. No waters. The food was decent, 3.00 margaritas and big portions. The fire cheese was delish. Waitress never checked on us. We had to ask the cashier to get our check. My mother wanted to make sure the waitress got her tip even though she definitely didn't deserve it. When my mom gave her the twenty she knew she didn't deserve it. There's some very bad, passive aggressive energy in this restaurant. I would definitely recommend staying away because you never know when you will be the next victim. We had a wonderful day until we went to Mama's. My Mama would never treat anyone like this. We will never return to Mama's.
