01/15/2010 - This place is Hot Garbage
Walking into Mema's Alaskan Tacos I admired the creativity put into the decor. It became more interesting after ordering my food. As soon as I swallowed my first bite of a beef burrito it brought me back to an elementary school dare tasting dog food. The fish tacos looked like aged chicken. Guacamole was identical to Taco Bell's green watery sauce. I didn't even finish my food but threw it out before I got sick. Unless you're intoxicated coming out of a nearby club or bar I wouldn't advise nearing this place. even then pizza is an option down the road rather than this risk. Bathrooms are outside; ghetto. Try California Tacos on Bears Ave or Taco Bus on Hillsborough Ave for Quality Tacos.

Hey if you are going to be taken seriously when you write a review, try spelling and grammar check. Mema's is very good. The food is good and it is a nice change of pace. If you want real Mexican food, the cruise port is only 5 miles from Mema's.

Once again, another idiot is reviewing a great restaurant. First of all, the burritos are only $4 and they hardly taste like paper (unless you suck too much d**k). The tacos are amazing and anyone who says differently has no sence of mexican food.

I was SO disappointed! I love fish tacos, but this place is a complete rip off and terrible food. If youw ant rice in your burrito, it's almost an extra dollar. Huh? I have one small burrito, it left me hungrym it was $8 (vegetarian too) and was like eating paper. Awful.
