My husband and I visited this restaurant on Black Friday while waiting for his car to be serviced. We both enjoyed dishes from the Country Breakfast menu featuring fried catfish, which were delicious, well-seasoned, and fresh. The establishment has a rich history and a loyal clientele, making it a standout in the community.

I am from Washington, DC, and the mom and pop, soul food restaurants have dissipated, but the Spoon Grill is a misunderstanding! I was sinfully a glutton every time I ate there! I ate the fried fish, grits, eggs with cheese, and home fries! Every bite was ecstasy! I was such a greedy monster I even took some finger-licking wings home to eat, lol!

On August 13, 2019, six members of my family, and I arrived at the establishment at 1:35. A curt, rude waitress, wearing a blue t-shirt, long braids, and black eyeglasses, walked over to the television and cut it off while we were watching it. She continued to stomp around and shut things off in our presence until we felt unwelcome! We wolfed down our food, gave the nice, respectful waitress, with the green shirt with her hair pulled back in a bun, a $50.00 tip for being courteous. Also, if the kitchen closes before your designated closing hour, people need to be informed so that they can receive the same quality of service regardless of what time they arrive. I would highly recommend the Spoon Grill, and to anyone, and I have even put it on social media, but the customer service needs to be fixed!

I have been eating at spoons since I was 14years old and have tried almost everything on the menu and have never had any issues.... Everything is great!!!! I mean EVERYTHING!!!

1St time there, i had the Fish n Grits w/biscuit. It was really good, even though they only serve Tilapia (apparently really big in Florida). I'm going back for the Oxtails n Rice for dinner. It shouldn't disappoint.........

The food is great! I can always go there for some fried fish in the morning! I also like the smothered turkey wings.. the macaroni n cheese is to die for! and its a great environment.. family owned. Also has a salon next door so i can order food while i get my hair done! lol.. They also have a Family DJ Spoon Productions, great entertainment.. Witherspoon's doin big things!

I'VE ALWAYS HEARD ABOUT SPOON'S, BUT NEVER ATE THERE UNTIL THIS PAST WEEKEND. THE FOOD IS WONDERFUL - THE PORK CHOPS, RIBS, AND CHICKEN ARE FINGER LICKING GOOD! THE PRICE IS SURPRISINGLY RIGHT FOR THE AMOUNT OF FOOD THEY GIVE YOU. IT IS VERY FILLING - AND YOU'LL HAVE TO TAKE FOOD HOME.
