This experience was the most disappointing yet. The first time I ate at Taverna Kyma, I enjoyed a plate of grilled octopus and a lovely cocktail. I brought five people with me the second time I ate there. Not one of us enjoyed the food or the service. I went back with a friend to see which experience was the norm. The food and service were excellent. So, I concluded the bad experience was the anomaly. Not so! I went again with two more people. Bit the service (the waiter assured us he would ensure my allergic friends order would be overseen by him). Not only did he deliver two plates of allergens, but made excuses for the heavily salted food by "explaining " the cook had a heavy hand. They've lost a total of 10 customers and everyone we know. BTW on the way out I stopped to speak to the only other customers in that vast restaurant. Two elderly Greek people. We spoke a bit about where we're from, snd commiserated over the terribly salty food. I'm convinced they will never eat there again either. It explains the absence of customers.
