It was my son’s 21st Birthday & I thought this would be the perfect place to celebrate him. Unfortunately, our food experience was not as good as we hoped for. The restaurant views & music was nice, but we had to wait for over 45 mins for our drinks. We ordered appetizers, which were good. Our main entrees were served about an hour after we had our appetizers. Our food was under cooked, (Chilean sea bass @ $55) I sent it back, waited for another 30mins, & it came back even colder. Our waitress was apologetic, & wanted to comp me a dessert, which I declined. This venue is good for a drink at the bar & appetizers but overpriced dinners and wait time were horrible. A few days later we had dinner & drinks at the Rose Villa Restaurant, drinks, food & service was amazing! Highly recommend Rose Villa instead of Top of Daytona.

We were in the Ormond Beach Area Sunday 9/25/2022 and decided to eat at the Top Of Daytona. We have eaten there before and really like it . However, this time our waiter Joe almost forgot our bread ( we had already gotten our food). I had ordered the stroganoff (which I always get) this time the meat was tough and it was served over spaghetti noodles, and he forgot to bring my sides that went with it. My husband had the salmon ( which he always get), he found four bones in it , when he brought it to our waiters attention he just said sorry about that I will bring let the chief know. We love the view and the atmosphere..

I thought I would try this restaurant because it was our anniversary. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was great but the food not so great. I ordered chicken alfredo and my wife ordered the rack of lamb. Well she ordered it medium well but it came very rare. She sent it back and they cooked it for a minutes on one side and brought it back to my wife. Well it was still rare and chewy. We didn't want to send it back again. In a fine establishment like this you would think they would prepare her another meal but they did not. Not only was the food bad the tea taste like it was made with beach water from outside of the restaurant. My wife left hungry and very unsatisfied. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Beautiful restaurant staff is great and happy. Allen was great.
I had Chilean Sea Bass Oscar. Chef needs to look up what oscar looks like.
It was a very thin hairy looking something dried up.
My first piece of fish was large and about 1 or more tall I ate towards the middle and it was cold and not done.
They brought a much thinner piece with the same hairy stuff on top.
Hopefully cooks are not family or you will have a hard time correcting.
Everything is perfect but kitchen.
I love the place please work on that.

We arrived at 3pm and sat at the bar, Once seated, you can't see out the windows as the seats are too low. The Moscow Mule was served in a glass, not in the usual copper mug. It was good, just different than what I am used to. We were seated in the dining room when the restaurant opened at 4pm. Our table was right by the panoramic window. The views were awesome 29 floors up. The Shrimp cocktail ($14) was served on a plate, not in a cocktail bowl/glass. However, it was tasty and fresh. The 8oz. Filet Mignon came with Yukon gold mashed potato with sauteed vegetables ($42). The steak was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. The portions were on the smaller side. The veggies consisted of green beans, carrots, and cauliflower. They were okay as well as the mashed potatoes. The Scampi with chicken ($34) had an excessive amount of butter, it was swimming in it, therefore, overpowered the dish. The Chocolate Molten Cake ($10) had three fresh berries on the plate, the vanilla ice cream was good, the cake okay. In summation, the food was good, just somewhat overpriced. The service was excellent. As a side note, upon arrival, we parked along the side of Peck Plaza in a parking lot. There is very little signage to guide you to the restaurant. We walked through the parking garage among construction workers. We saw a sign on the building with an arrow pointing towards restaurant. There is a door/small interior area with an elevator. No where inside is there information as to how to get to the restaurant. Once inside the elevator there is no signage directing you to the restaurant. The elevator buttons are "L" or "R". We chose R and were taken directly up to the restaurant.
