I found this cozy little sushi spot in Hazel Dell that's surprisingly good for conveyor belt sushi. The prices are fair, the staff is friendly, and the sushi is always fresh and cool. The only downside is that the selection can be a bit limited at times, but the staff is always happy to make something special for you if you ask.

My family and I absolutely love this place! The staff are always very helpful and friendly and so are the cooks! We have gone to other Sushi places in Vancouver and they aren't as nearly as welcoming or friendly.

reading some of the negative comments on here makes me wonder the character of the writers. my wife and i were very pleased by their friendly staff and great food. it's sushi on a conveyer belt people... and it's one of my favorite quick stops.

Used to be the best sushi place in the hazel dell area...USED TO BE. Hubby and I were regulars since they first opened and we were treated very well and always enjoyed the food and the staff. We were shocked at how the service has become increasingly worse by the hostess and wait help staff. The ex-wife of the owner (the dragon lady with the big eyes) has always been rude, but now she is particularly vicious and prefers to not serve people and instead prefers to stand in a corner giving customers dirty looks. The quality of the fish has also gone away having been replaced with more roll varieties like every other standard sushi train.
Our last visit was Feb 26, 2011. The restaurant was not busy during dinner, yet we were not greeted and the wait help woud not help us. We seated ourselves. There was barely any sushi on the conveyor belt so we waited to order directly from the sushi chef. The chef serving our section, one we had not seen before, refused to speak with us and refused to allow us to place an order. Yet he kept asking others if they would like anything else. We preceded to eat some of the sushi on the belt, and soon discovered the pieces seemed to have been there for a while due to the texture. We had to flag down a new waitress in another section to get beverages, and she was shocked when she found out we had not been helped. She got us drinks, the wrong drinks, but she tried. We decided to immediately leave and finish what we thought might be a nice romantic dinner at Sushi Chiyo in Salmon Creek. The people there were nice and made sure to ask frequently if they could make us something special. Sushi Tsunami is so done - no more of our hard earned money will be spent there.

This place is the best! They are so friendly and the food is fresh and tasty. They are very accomodating to my children. I eat here at least twice a month.

ST has great food at really good prices. It is by far the best sushi-go-round in the greater Vancouver/Portland area. It could have more on the walls. More visual warmth. The people there are very nice.

This sushi place has the best california rolls. Cheese Aga is a really good desert too. You have to try it when you go there.
