It surprises me that there haven't been just a outpouring of reviews on what a great place this is to eat. It has food for everyones tastes, rotesserie meats, beer and the happiest upbeat atmosphere you could hope for to celebrate a special occasion! With a happy hour menu with a wide variety of plates at a reasonable price straight from the dining room menus at times, you cant go wrong. Then there is the Early Bird Suppers with a selection of full meal and side dish options that are lowered in price from the regular dinner menu. For a few dollars more, you may add coffee and dessert (how about some apple strudel?). the fondue and breads, special jams, lentil soup, all of these have been a mainstay since my high school date nights from the early 1970's! There are the accordian players, beautiful voiced & singing waitstaff, and the adoreable little Bavarian village "huts" where you will sit in privacy but still be able to see all the happy people around you as they are served what they know will be a memorable dinner, for a family or even a couple out on a date! The only negative note...parking is really a hassle when you are dressed in high heels and have to slog through a neighborhood or side street to get a parking spot! Forget about even parking with family or friends together! Make reservations...especially for a large group...be sure to mention if you are having a birthday or anniversary...free dessert!
