Went to the diner last week. Had a steak sandwich and and onion rings. Couldn’t eat either. One bite of each was all I could take. The steak was rubbery and the onion rings were doughy, yuk. Returned them both.

Not able to reach anyone at Hollywood southern grille. I've tried many times. The food is good, but urgency to reach you is very Important

This was the second visit.
I had a cheeseburger ordered med rare.
It came to the table well done and like sawdust dry. Lettuce was chopped and the onion was also chopped. The tomato wasn't ripe. Next time I'll just go to McDonald's and get the cheese burger.
Partner had chicken parm. Pasta was sticky and the chicken left in the fryer too long.
The salad greens were turning brown. The breading on the chicken was salty and too much pepper.
I also think you need to check or strain your fryer grease. The motz. Sticks had black residue from the fryer.

FIRED.

After a bad breakfast experience at a near-by big-name place, we wanted a different place for breakfast.
We stopped in here for a late Saturday night supper to see what it was like. It is a 'squeaky-clean' 24 hr. diner which has apparently been in business for a long time (I think I saw a sign that said 1954?). The prices were a bit higher than I am personally used to, but it is a very touristy area, so they are really a bit lower than other places with similar menus but 'bigger names'. It is not at all fancy, but we were very happy with supper: patty melts, french dip & cold roast beef sandwich. There was a wide selection, with any of it available at any time of the day. The food was much better than average.
Our waitress was great and knew the menu well. She was 'expecting', and was as quick, happy & chipper as you could ever hope for, especially on a late shift!
We spoke with the hostess/waitress about a group of 7 the next morning, and were told it would be fine.
We arrived the next morning (Sunday) at about 9:30. The place was busy, but low & behold, the same hostess was back on, recognized us at first glance and had a big table ready for us in minutes, even though they were pretty busy.
Our waiter, Nick, arrived promptly and returned with coffees in minutes and then brought us a thermal pot.
He was back at exactly the right time to take our orders.
I have to admit, I was skeptical at first - he took our orders with no notepad. We had a few special requests, such as crisp bacon, dark toast for some and different breads for others, and 1 person ordered 3 items off the a la cart menu.
Our breakfast arrived very quickly, especially considering how many tables were seated.
I truly did not expect everything to arrive correctly, but it did! Exactly right for everyone. They don't use trays to carry orders out, so he made a couple trips, but nothing suffered for it - nothing had been under heat lamps for more than a few moments. The toast was hot and crisp, and the requests for 'dark' were good. The eggs were all cooked correctly and piping hot.
So, hats off to the Waitstaff and to the Cooks!! They all worked together superbly, on 2 different days, 2 different meals, and took a large table in stride.
Everyone in the party was impressed. Three of them are locals (well, 20 miles away), and will definitely be here again. If we travel there again, we will too!
