The service was satisfactory, and the food quality was decent. While some menu items seemed expensive, there were also reasonably priced selections available. It could be a convenient choice for guests staying at the Sheraton who prefer dining in.

Good food!

I thought maybe this was a good place so I walked over again for the second visit from my extended stay Execustay Apartments at 1007 N. Orange Street. I am here on detail from South Carolina. $10 per drink and $18 for my pasta and chicken dish. Ok, so it's expensive but that makes me think, It's got to be good too (right?). Food was ok but nothing above average. I've been watching too much Food Network and I have come to realize that good food does actually exist out there. The Pasta here was good enough to exercise my imagination and reach for the idea that the Executive Chef may have cared about his or her’s work. I am an optimist you know. So I am eating at the bar and there are flying insects landing on the bar, I am swatting and the waitress is nowhere to be seen so, my nonverbal communication is failing. I forge ahead with my meal devoted to the idea that this could be my new place to eat thinking that the bugs are just passing through. Finally, one of the flying insects lands on the bar two inches in front of my plate and I smash it with me left hand. The optimist that I am knows that I am only using my right hand to eat and there is still hope for this meal. Still devoted to giving this establishment my full effort, I forge ahead. Then there are two or three more bugs (at least) that want my pasta or (my soul) and they are orbiting around my head to let me know that they have rights. I've had enough and I lose my appetite with more than half my meal left and I push it away in disgust. Do I tell anyone? Don't want to make enemies here. Waitress comes by and asks, how are things? I tell her about the insects and my loss of appetite. She offers me free desert but I decline. She charged me full price for my meal and even mentioned that someone else needs to also know about the bugs. The reason I did not complain heavily is because I did not want them to think I was a scammer but she actually confirmed the presence of the insects. So no more Basil. I had high hopes. On my way back to my apartment, I reflected on the very true essence of my experience. I could have just saddled up to a garbage dumpster if I wanted food with insects. At least for that price, I would have expected to do some swatting.
