I never got my food, so I am not positive about the quality of food. This review is exclusively about management and service. The day we ordered delivery, we knew the restaurant was understaffed because they said that when we called to order originally. They said they were only serving pizza because they were short staffed, so we changed our order to five medium pizzas.

We waited for the estimated hour and a half, then called to see if the order would be there anytime soon. The person on the phone said it would be a "few minutes," so we went out to the parking lot of the brewery we were at to wait for the driver.

About 30 minutes later we got the restaurant on the phone again to ask if they were still coming. We'd decided to cancel the delivery and ask for a refund OR go pick it up if they weren't able to make it. The first person we spoke with insisted he delivered it to us and shared that he passed it to a woman wearing a dress. We weren't the only people in the parking lot (it's a large parking area for a large business), so I was pretty sure I knew who he'd given it to, but it was not someone from our group. I asked if we could figure out what to do next together or with a manager. When he passed the phone, I ended up speaking with a manager who insisted that we DID get our order. I tried to level with this manager and share as many details as possible: we were standing outside the whole time, no one in our group is wearing a dress today, no one in our group has pizza, we can come to the restaurant and show you what all five of us are wearing and get the pizzas we ordered... This manager continuously said "I find it strange that you didn't see the pizza."

It's not strange to mind your own business in a parking lot. We expected that the person delivering the food would CONFIRM who they were delivering to.

The rest of the conversation with this manager was not acceptable. I don't care if I'm a customer. I may not "always be right" from this person's perspective, but I am a PERSON and the manager did not treat me with respect. You know who you are and I hope you learned from that phone call that there are much better ways to manage situations like this without continuing to escalate and accuse your customers/fellow humans.

I think it would have been a much better experience if they had:
1. Cancelled all delivery service for that evening. It's tough being short staffed and I think they should have made it easier for the hard working staff by eliminating that stressor.
2. Asked us if we'd be willing to pick up our order. We would have said yes! But we were enjoying our time together and wanted to get delivery. Again--we would have said yes if they'd asked us to pick up instead.
3. Asked for the order number, name, or what we ordered when they arrived to deliver the food.
4. Called us upon arrival to confirm that the number we ordered from is the person picking up the phone.
5. Had a sticker or marking on the delivery vehicle so we could have flagged them down in the parking lot, where we were standing the whole time.

The biggest issue I have with this incident is that I was not treated with respect as a person or customer. The manager I spoke with (who deserves a job, so I won't say their name) was impatient and accusatory. I was likely frustrated and hard to deal with (I freely admit when I am), but I have many witnesses to the phone call who saw me try to deescalate the conversation from an accusatory tone to one of respect. The staff DID NOT try to problem solve, they just made me feel awful for interrupting an already busy night and even more awful by accusing my friends and I of stealing and lying.

I would not recommend getting delivery. I would not rely on the staff in this restaurant to treat you with respect.
