Just had lunch at Quitos and while I have eaten there many times over the years and enjoyed the food the service has been spotty and today it was the worst ever. It was early and the restaurant wasn’t that crowded and my husband got linguine with calamari, which is way smaller than it used to be and it was good and hot. I ordered a bowl of chowder and a fish sandwich with fries. She brought everything at once. So I had a bowl of chowder and a fish sandwich to eat at the same time. In all the 20 or more years I have eaten out in restaurants, the soup is always brought out first, I didn’t think I had to specify. The chowder was barely warm and the fries were cold and not that great to start with. She went to get catchup and what seemed like a very long time for that came back, put the the ketchup on the table and left so fast that I couldn’t ask her to heat things up

Their fish sandwich used to have a much larger piece of fish on it by the way. I started eating the fish on the sandwich and finished that and I had to ask another waitress to reheat the chowder. Finally when we were almost done the waitress came back and it was just too late. I told her about the cold chowder and she said do you need a box? She didn’t get it. Very disappointing, I hate it when bad timing by the kitchen and an untrained server ruin your meal.

If I could give a negative five stars I would. This is probably the WORST restaurant experience I have ever had. I usually don’t write reviews. However, my experience was so bad I want to warn others and recommend they DO NOT EAT HERE. The waiter brought the food. We told him that we didn’t have eating utensils. We were six in our party. With hot food on the table, you would think that waiter would quickly come back so that we could start eating. After about 10 minutes, still without silverware with our food getting colder and no waiter in site, I got out my seat to find someone to help us. I found the waiter casually talking to other employee and reminded him, now for the third time, that we didn’t have anything to eat with, he rudely told me to go back to my seat. By the time the silverware finally came, I was annoyed, I had completely lost my appetite—the dinner was completely ruined the meal for me. To make matters worse, everyone got served except my sweetheart. When the food finally came, another waiter brought the wrong dish. Instead, of going back to the kitchen, this waiter had the nerve to come back to our table, not once but TWO TIMES with the food we didn’t order and said “are you sure don’t want it, I’ll even give it to for free”. THIS IS WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. Save yourself the aggravation, for at best mediocre food, stay far away from this restaurant!

Wonderful seafood, service & great water views in a relaxed atmosphere, I've never had a bad experience at Quito's.
