I've been enjoying leftovers from Carl Strauss for a couple of days, and everything tastes fresh and homemade-so many delicious options made it hard to pick just one. The full waiter service is back, which is a huge improvement over ordering on electronic devices with little interaction, and the staff is super attentive and friendly. The food is consistently tasty, especially favorites like the mac and cheese, wings, burger, and black bean soup, plus the atmosphere is chill with great indoor/outdoor seating and lots of beer choices.
