This review is for The Sand Trap in Cathedral City, not the other one with the same name. It's a dive bar that's been around for over 40 years, run by a fabulous lady for 30 of those years. The grilled shrimp is a must-try, spicy in a good way, and perfect for sharing at $35. The atmosphere is no-frills, mainly serving domestic beers in bottles or cans, but the food and company make it a local gem worth visiting.
