We live near Humble Pie. I get pizza here all the time. Always fast pickup at a great price!

Went to the restaurant on 8/1, around 6 or 6:30. Was seated but waited for 10 minutes for a waitress to notice us. She took our order but we had a hard time understanding her as she seemed to have a problem speaking with her lower lip ring in. We ordered a pizza and the flat bread for an appetizer. We waited patiently for about a half of an hour, watching other people that came in after us receive salads and other items. A couple across from us that we saw go in right before us received their pizza. We asked if the flat bread appetizer was coming and the young waitress mumbled something about it having to be cooked at the same time our pizza was then walked away. 50 minutes into our wait, I again asked how much longer at which point she said there was a large pizza order. I asked to speak to a manager. She came back mumbling that the order would be on her. Over an hour later she brings plates at which point we tell her it will now have to be an order to go as we were late getting across town. 15 more minutes and no box or manager yet or even a refill on our waters. I get up and ask her at the window that she was boxing other food up, not mine, if I can speak to the manager. She tells me that here's my pizza with some free flat bread.I tell her that I don't want any extra flat bread, just give me my free pizza, I need to leave. A young man with terrible oral hygene came out evidentally acting as a manger (surely not) but he was. I tell the young man that I need my pizza so I can leave. He tells me I'll have to pay for the pizza but the flat bread is free. I tell him that I don't want free flat bread just my pizza. I ask for the manager's name and phone number. He tells me he can't give out her phone number. I ask him to take my name and number and have her give me a call. He then asks what's wrong after I had just told him. I tell him again and before I can get two sentences out, he says, "stop berating me". I tried telling him again what was wrong and all he could say was stop berating me, I've had other complaints tonight. I tried calling Humble Pie again today but the manager is still not in. This establishment has some serious management issues. I am in retail and deal with several thousand customers per week. Guess what I'm going to tell them about Humble Pie?

Here's an update to my other unpleasant review. The manager actually did call and apologize and try to give me a courtesy pizza. I don't want anything free, but I did feel better that the manager actually did take the time to call.

Just moved to Salem, saw the add in the paper and tried this place for the first time. The manager was in sweat pants greeting people and smelled of body odor and urine. Store was filthy, food was overpriced and awful. Toppings were sparse and so was the cheese. My sister ordered lasagna but it tasted frozen and microwaved. Only thing good about this place was the server we had and the kid at the register who was polite and apologetic about the management. I would recommend you go a couple blocks up to the pit place for a much better deal, food that doesn't taste frozen or stiff and a manager that does not stink and look like he doesn't care about his business. OR, if you want something cheaper, faster, better, cleaner try Jersey Lily's across the way. I will NOT be back!

I asked why my order was $8 more this week than last for same items. Server told me it was because I got the free pizza this time.
They charged me $8 for a free pizza.

RIP OFF!!!!

My favorite pizza place in town! Sourdough crust is out of this world. Buy one get one free makes it even better.
